BACKUP DISASTER RECOVERY
Why use BDR?
Saving information only to your hard drive or on old tapes is dangerous! These machines can fail or become physically damaged, therefore destroying important data your business needs to function. Backup Disaster Recovery (BDR) is essential for any business that wants to protect its most valuable asset, its information.

Using BDR is a three-step, fail-proof strategy for preventing data loss. First, the server takes a snap-shot of all the information on your computer. Second, the Network Attached Storage (NAS) takes a snap-shot of the server, acting as a redundant server. (This allows SWAT to fix your server while your NAS BDR unit fills in the server's position.) Third, BDR prevents data-loss by backing up the information on the NAS to the "cloud" (an off-site server). This three-step system ensures data-recovery in the event of a fire, flood, or break-in.
SET IT AND FORGET IT
SWAT can use your server, NAS, or the "cloud" to restore your system to its original settings. All of this can be done remotely, without the frustration of cataloging tapes and dealing with long restore times. Plus, you never have to guess who's taking the tape home.
Benefits of using BDR include:
- Real-time backups every 15 minutes
- Eliminate the hassle of using archaic tapes
- Restore lost e-mail and files remotely
- No human intervention
- Information can be restored remotely or archived off-site
- Affordable cloud storage ($1.00/gig/month)
"I no longer have a staff member rotating tapes or worrying about off site issues! I'm able to sleep at night knowing SWAT can restore our data on the fly and keep our business running smoothly."
