Account Manager / Sales Rep Job Description

 

We need a highly motivated professional with 5+ year’s solution sales experience selling technical services to small and medium size companies. A successful outside sales rep will be consultative, selling customer-centric solutions to new and existing clients. Solutions he or she recommends will meet client needs, solve client problems, and satisfy client objectives in client’s best interests. A successful person will meet revenue and new business development goals consistently through lead generation and sales activities.

 

We are a small but very successful and steadily growing company working primarily with small businesses and organizations. Because of the nature of our work, we need outstanding people that meet a variety of qualifications. Base salary range $45-55K depending upon your skills and experience, plus commissions and bonuses. This is an excellent situation for the right person, with opportunity for advancement.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Minimum 5 years of outside solution sales experience with responsibility for closing sales experience working for an information technology, telecommunications, or business      machines company
  • Proven success carrying an individual quota and meeting quota objectives
  • Excellent people skills, communication skills and self-management skills
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to focus, manages your time and your work, and gets things done quickly, efficiently, and completely
  • Honesty, integrity, and a genuine desire to help

  • Reliable transportation

 

Knowledge, skills and experience with the following

 

  • Executing successful lead generation campaigns
  • Working with clients to identify needs and the best solution to address those needs
  • Working with a broad range of solution options (services and products) to prepare proposals for clients
  • Managing and thoroughly documenting opportunities through the sales process
  • Problem solving
  • Closing sales opportunities
  • Managing clients accounts using a CRM system
  • Account management
  • Professional networking
  • High level of skill with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel

 

BENEFICIAL ATTRIBUTES (BUT NOT REQUIRED)

 

Knowledge, skills and experience with the following:

 

  • Selling IT managed services in a small businesses environment
  • Cold calling
  • Knowledge of IT systems and processes
  • Technical service or operations support
  • ConnectWise or Autotask PSA
  • QuoteWerks, Quosal, or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of internet-based tools
  • Business ownership experience, or other entrepreneurial experience, skills or qualities
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Sales Activities to Meet Quotas

 

  • Adhere to the SWAT sales process
  • Conduct initial needs analysis meetings with clients using a thorough discovery process
  • Create proposals to meet client needs for projects and services
  • Present and follow-up on proposals
  • Close proposals to meet monthly quota objectives
  • Conduct a smooth hand-off of new projects to operations and technical teams

 

New Business Development / Lead Generation

 

  • Generate new clients in targeted vertical markets
  • Use SWAT systems to generate leads
  • Execute and participate in lead generation campaigns
  • Participate in networking activities as defined

 

Account Management & Growth

 

  • Build long-term client relationships
  • Grow revenue in existing client base
  • Support all assigned accounts

 

Maintain and Grow Vendor and Strategic Partner Relationships

 

  • Maintain vendor and strategic partner relationships at the rep level through consistent communications
  • Work together to uncover new opportunities
  •  Maintain client information in ConnectWise or Autotask CRM Tool
